評價:
由於有同焦距的一支平G鏡, 故此鏡常被忽略或過於苛刻評價(如Ken Rockwell)
但其二手價也只是千零, 卻用了金屬接環, 鏡身也較扎實, 加了塊ED後發色較油潤, 個人認為完全對得住個價, 比G鏡差幾百很值得
另很多人忽略的一點是, 此鏡在135mm時仍有f4, 200mm有f4.2, 對一支舊FF鏡來說相當不錯, 若放在DX機則更好用
雖說200mm以上成像痳痳, 但以其只有約500g重量, 可當它是一支傳統70-200 f4鏡來用, 以上的焦距就當用了digital zoom, 在無計時頂住上
有c hing認為更舊版的75-300成像更好, 又有腳架位, 這是不錯的. 但那是850g的重炮, 並且是由f4.5起始, 抬得這重量我寧願帶小黑或384了
若有$或常用遠攝的話當然應買70-300的VR版, 但卻不是這價位, 故此鏡對銀根有限或少用遠攝者頗值得推薦

I love this lens and I shot hundreds of great shots with birds and dogs at high speed. The only thing that made me sell this is because I now have the AFS 70-200 VR F4. It is an excellent tele lens for you to carry for a long time.
優點:
入門機的中、長焦段鏡頭，size細、輕便，易於攜帶；去旅遊，一機兩鏡已足夠普通使用。
缺點:
對焦較慢，沒有防震；較慢快門用200mm至300mm焦段容易手震。影像普通，比舊款的75-300f4.5-5.6的差一點點。
評價:
二手價錢便宜，剛剛用$700買回來。影像可以接受，是日常行山、旅遊用的中、長鏡。

Good holding feeling. Although no VR, it is still ok becaues I not always taking of sport type shot. If not high expectation, then it is a good lens to keep.

1. Picturer Quality is good compare the the price ($2000 new, $1400-1500 2nd hand) especially in Sunny days.
