優點:
所有優點早前的andykk ching 已講過，完全同意。雖然只用了一天，刻意地開盡光圈攝影，無論在甚麼光線環境下，層次，色澤，暗位，反差等表現，非常滿意。中心至邊緣的銳利也非常平均，鏡身造功一流。價錢以Leica而言，算是實惠。

仍在探索體驗中，或許有ching 覺得它的光圈較細，室內攝影比較吃虧，但現階段使用沒有這個問題。

- Metal screw on hood, better than the clip on plastic hood, more durable and will last for years without changing shape like the plastic one
- Able to add normal size filter, with the hood on the filter is simply not visible
- Small size and weight, good for travel

- A smaller aperture (but it is sharper at f3.8/f4,0 than its alternatives)
- Sometime too much contrast, not good for B&W photos
- Cannot show correct frame line on M9 viewfinder
- it's "Leica" expensive..... (thought it's one of the cheapest current Leica lens lineup)

It's a dream lens for landscape photography. I traveled with this lens to Sabah and I'm impressed by the color and sharpness this lens can give. With the M9, it's an ultra wide that is light weight, providing top notch image quality, I always carry it with me. I found it also very versatile for some night shots even if the area is not too dark, as its already very sharp wide open, i'm confident to use f3.8.
