1. A good choice for APS-C format; and
2. Can be a back-up lens for full frame, but should fix on 18mm.

1. No Minolta feelings; and
2. Noisy focusing gear.

The only wide angle solution within my days in Dynax 7D, because my 20-35 became 30mm. The lens is totally not Minolta style, it is a Tamron.

- Very wide lens. The effect is very attractive.
- Focusing speed is quite good.

- Better if it is an internal focusing lens.
- f4.5 is a bit small.

Generally speaking, it is a good lens when considering that it won\\\'t be used under dim light condition very often.
